Poquessing Valley Park

Poquessing Valley Park consists of several small green areas along the Poquessing Creek which belong to Fairmount Park. The largest of these areas is adjacent to Benjamin Rush State Park, and the approximate location is shown on the map below. Poquessing Valley Park has never been "developed". You won't find any signs pointing to it, any rest rooms,  picnic tables or maintained trails in this park. Until recently, its main use was as an illegal dumping ground. But the future is looking much rosier for Poquessing Valley Park.  Both the Fairmount Park Commission and Bensalem Township have plans underway for development of the parkland and trails along Poquessing Creek. At present, a vegetation survey has been completed, and a cursory possible walking trail along the creek has been laid out.
